It is official! I will be 30 in 999 days and I’ve got 101 adventures to accomplish by then. If you haven’t already be sure to check out my list. I will use this blog to share all things related to my list from researching, to reviews and of course the completion of an item.
I’ll admit that I did add in a few goals that were already achieved within the last month or achieved by today. After my last two failed attempts it seems like a great way to get started and keep the fire going. Typically, my list of goals is much smaller and within a 6-12 month time frame, so working within an almost 3 year time frame is pretty tricky. I’m up for the challenge though. Third time is a charm right? 🙂
Here’s what I’ve completed so far:
5. Meet with a trainer and develop a workout 5x times a week schedule
I met with a trainer at big, fancy gym here in San Diego and got some great tips. After some thought I decided to forgo the membership, for now, and use the beautiful city around me as my gym. I live within minutes of Balboa Park which has free workouts classes, trails and more.
Day 1 – Barre
Day 2 – Cardio
Day 3 – Abs & Ass
Day 4 – Yoga/Pilates
Day 5 – Weights/Resistance
38. Kick-ass job in San Diego
I have accepted a full-time, salaried position with a local non-profit that has been around since 1911. I can’t explain how incredible it is to have a job that speaks to all of your passions, that allows you to grow professionally as well as one that is rewarding.
65. Find my signature lipstick
I’m a girly girl at heart and love makeup more than I actually wear it. I’ve been searching for the perfect color to wear to make my lips pop and feel sexy. I found it with the BITE lip stain in Pomegranate. It is my go-to shade for nights out with the girls or even a subtle swipe for morning meetings.
82. Throw Out 100 Things Challenge
I moved into a new place 2 weeks ago so this was easy. Over the last year I’ve trekked everything I own from Salt Lake City to San Diego to Vegas to Los Angeles and back to San Diego. Whew. Most of that stuff was hiding in my trunk for the better part of 6 months. It is amazing what things you think you can’t live without and completely forgot you had.
And that’s all folks! 4 out of 101 isn’t too shabby for the first check-in. I’m very excited and hopeful with this new list. I made sure to spend a lot of time thinking about my personal goals, physical goals (hello splits!) and adventures I’d like to have before my 20s end.
Have you heard of Day Zero Project? Have you done one?
