I’m back from Sundance Film Festival and stunned that is it already the first Friday of February. How did that happen? Seriously, where did the time go.
Today I finally had the chance to sit down and review my January goals plus decide on my February goals. Back in December I attended a conference that changed my view on goal setting…..not only do I set goals, but I write myself a letter as if I’ve achieved those goals. I put that letter in a sealed container and reread it at the end of the month. I’m on my 3rd month of this practice and I couldn’t be happier. I may not achieve each goal I set for myself but I look forward to that simple letter from my “inner rock star,” and know that regardless of what I accomplished that month I tried and that’s what matters.
I’ve made progress and I’m ahead of the game; the game against myself.
As for January’s goals I accomplished 6 out of 10.
I didn’t accomplish all of my January goals, but I’m proud of myself for achieving 6 of them. AND making steps to accomplish the remaining 4 at a later date.
What I’ve learned from January is to consider the activities that are already planned + what’s coming up that month.
And now my February goals…..
My spa day is courtesy of volunteer perks from an industry conference last month, I watch at least a movie a night, I have an editorial calendar for February, and yesterday I paced a 12 minute mile.
Oh…and I’m training for a Warrior Dash in March so I’ll be eating on the Whole30 program until March 21st. Looking forward to seeing my stats change over the next 6+ weeks.
